Contractors Choice Agency is an independent insurance agency founded in 2005 and based in Chandler, Arizona. We've spent two decades placing contractor risk that standard carriers don't want — and few contractor risks are tougher to place correctly than directional drilling.
Directional Boring Insurance is our HDD and underground-utility division. We exist because most bore contractors are sold the wrong policy: a generic contractor policy that excludes the frac-out, leaves below-grade and care-custody-control gaps wide open, and treats a six-figure drill rig like a hand tool. We build the coverage a trenchless operation actually needs and place it with specialty markets that understand the trade.

The inadvertent return is the exposure standard GL excludes — so it's where we start. We won't sell a bore contractor a policy that leaves the frac-out uncovered.

Below-grade and care-custody-control exclusions are where bore contractors get caught. We buy those gaps back so a utility strike is actually covered.
